Perry Vale: Bettina Skeen
Bettina Skeen (pictured, centre) writes, "I was born in Hampshire and am a professional musician, training at the Royal Academy of Music, studying cello, piano and composition.
"I have lived in London since 1968 and have worked as a freelance cellist since 1976. I was appointed as an inspector to the ILEA and have taught music in schools all over London.
"I moved to the borough with my husband, a local businessman, in 1984 and have lived in Perry Vale for the past sixteen years.
"I want to be a councillor as I am keen to promote change for the better in Perry Vale. I want to tackle problems with anti-social behaviour, litter and transport, and I want to improve social housing in the ward."
