Sydenham: Ross Archer

Ross Archer (pictured, right) has been a member of the local Conservative Party for three years, and is now standing as a council candidate.

Ross has lived in Sydenham for over ten years, and is currently in his second year at London Metropolitan University, reading Politics. Ross also works locally at Sainsbury’s Sydenham branch.

Ross is actively involved in the local community as an assistant scout leader, and as a local education authority governor for Adamsrill Primary School.  Ross is passionate about education and young people’s futures, and believes this is one of the most important challenges that we face.

Ross joined the Conservatives as he believes that New Labour has run its course: it has given us £1 trillion of debt, and is showing no new ideas to bring this country forward and make it better.  He thinks that locally, Labour Lewisham are making the wrong decisions, and dithering, as can be seen with the disgraceful mishandling of Forest Hill pools.

Ross writes: “Sydenham is a wonderful, vibrant, exciting, up and coming place to live, but it could be better!”  Ross and the Sydenham Conservatives aim to make Sydenham a better place to live, work, and socialise.  .
