Paul Durling (pictured, left), his wife Ruth and two children Robert and Alison, have lived in Crystal Palace since 1987. Paul is a Conservative council candidate for Crystal Palace ward, and writes:
"My main priority will be to seek better funding and cooperation between Bromley Council and the local community.
"My central aim is to interact with all interested local parties in order to promote better understanding of the problems that we face in our neighbourhood. I look forward to meeting with local boroughs to discuss key issues that affect the surrounding area. These include: the Triangle, the park and the potential cinema, which I support.
"We are extremely fortunate at last to have the East London Line coming to Crystal Palace. This will transform travel and make many journeys more efficient.
"It is essential that there is more consultation between the local community and the decision makers in Bromley Council. If I were to be elected as Conservative ward councillor, I would ensure that all matters of local concern will be raised with the council, such as policing, recycling and cleaner streets. Our team will always be on hand to make sure that your concerns and points of view will be heard through local surgeries and with local meetings, ensuring close cooperation and current information is shared on decisions affecting the local community.
