Bellingham: Paul Tebble

Paul has just turned 60, and has three children and three grandchildren. He writes:

“I joined the Conservatives to improve my local area and I’m standing in Sydenham ward where I have lived for the last 14 years. I know this area and its surroundings well- I grew up on the Kingswood Estate, West Dulwich, until I was 12, when we moved to West Norwood.

I have been a shopkeeper in East Dulwich, and I understand traders’ problems with footfall, passing trade and the general vibrancy of a high street. I served on the Greenwich Sports Council when I lived in Eltham, and arranged funding for many minority sports. I was also involved in developing a local swimming bath and helped Charlton football club with the redevelopment of their stadium.

I want to improve the local accountability of our council departments and committees, to make sure that problems are not swept under the carpet and that people get the service they should”
